Flying
Even though it might seem contradictory, I find the act of flying above the Earth to be wonderfully grounding. The view and the innate beauty experienced from thousands of feet in the air have provided me opportunities to embark on some of my most cherished and unforgettable journeys, detached from the routine of daily life.

New York Signs
My cousin came to visit us when we lived in New York City in 2005, so I took him for a ride up (and down) the Hudson River. He documented our flight in this cool video he put together and posted on YouTube.
Among the places of interest he captured are the conspicuously empty lot where the twin towers stood only a handful of years prior (see offset `1:10` in the video), the Brooklyn and George Washington bridges, and the Statue of Liberty which we circled on our way back to the airport in New Jersey.
